Rockets and Satellites
By Franklyn M. Branley

This book is dated 1961 and is a first edition, first printing. It was printed by the Thomas Y. Crowell Company, New York. It is children’s non-fiction and one in a series of the LET’S READ AND FIND OUT BOOKS. The author describes in simple term the differences between rockets and satellites. Most charming are the illustrations by self-taught artist Bill Sokol. It is still in very good condition with very minor rubbing to a few of the corners. It appears to have been read only a few times and is not a library book. The dust jacket is missing. It is un-paginated, 40 pages, and measures 9 by 8.25 inches. This is an early book on the subject (Sputnik was launched on October 4, 1957), and it is hard to find non-library first editions of this book.
