“OUR AMERICAN HORSE” was written by Dorothy Childs Hogner with illustrations by Nils Hogner. It is a first edition 1944, published by THOMAS NELSON AND SONS Edinburgh and New York. The book measures 9.5 by 6.25 inches. The boards are blue cloth with silver decorations; there is no dust jacket. The corners are bumped, there is a small stain on the first few pages, and the owner’s signature is inside the front cover. This book of 114 pages describes the evolution of the horse and traces the various breeds of horses, which are now found in the Americas.
