The Morgan Horse

This book was written and illustrated by Jeanne Mellin. It is a first edition, 1961, and published by THE STEPHEN GREENE PRESS Brattleboro, Vermont. In this book Mellin traces the Morgan breed through history. There are a number of photographs, but of particular interest are the illustrations by Mellin herself. The book measures 8.75 by 6.25 inches, and there are 238 pages. The boards of brown cloth are slightly soiled and there is no dust jacket. The owner’s signature is on the title page. The end papers are decorated with sketches of horses however; there is a separation on the back cover where the spine is loose. The paper is there and could be re-glued.
