The Complete Poetical Works of John Milton

Edited by William Vaughn Moody

This is one book from a series called “The Cambridge Poets.” It was published in 1924 by the Houghton Mifflin Company and The Riverside Press, Cambridge (The original copyright is dated 1899). It is a student’s edition. This book includes a biography of John Milton (1608-1674) and a great number of his poems in chronological order, from his youth and college life to his blindness and death. Included is Paradise Lost, Paradise Gained, Samson Agonistes as well as many Latin and English poems by him. The book is in very good condition with some very slight rubbing to the covers. The owner’s name is written in ink on the front free end paper, and the book is slightly cocked. There are 419 pages and it measures 7.75 by 5.5 inches. This appears to be a very detailed account of Milton’s poems.
