This book was printed in 1911 as a “Special Report on The Diseases of the Horse” by the U.S. Department of Agriculture; Bureau of Animal Industry. It states that it is a revised edition printed by the Government Printing Office, Washington. There are 614 pages with articles written by numerous professors of Veterinary Science. There are also many illustrations of horse related diseases and anatomical diagrams of horses, both color and black and white. Some titles are: Skeleton of the Horse, Anatomy of Foot, The Nervous System, Diseases of the Skin, Foundered Feet, Age of Horses as indicated by Teeth, and Ringbone and Navicular Disease. The boards of the book are burgundy cloth, the corners are bumped and there is light toning throughout. The spine is weakened. The book measures 9.25 by 6 inches.
