This novel is dated 1970 and is a stated first edition. It is a coming of age story, about an Afro-American musician, rapper set in Detroit and New York. It was published by Holt, Rinehart and Winston Inc., New York. There are 149 pages and it measures 8.5 by 5.75 inches. The boards are orange with the title in black on the spine. This is an ex-library book from Langley Air Force base. There is a library card envelope inside the back cover. And aside from the library stamps being blacked out with a marker, the book and dust jacket are in very good condition. This is an interesting story by a black musician, turned lecturer at Stanford University.
